    Hi Dr Resnick,

Sorry but I could not get this image rotated to its correct orientation. First question; is this the correct anatomical term? Second; should I try to avoid this when placing an implant in the area? If not, should I expect a lot of bleeding?

    Thanks!

    RB Frost

    Dr Frost-
What you see may just be an accessory nerve branch or a perforating nutrient blood vessel. It may be of no clinical significance. It is hard to tell without more views to give more information.
